Castelmoron d`Albert

_____Both works, created in 2015 and on display as part of the exhibition “Castelmoron d Àlbert” from 28 May to 12 June 2026 at the Bernd Kugler Gallery in Innsbruck, explore the instability of perception and the fragility of the visible. Depending on one’s position in the room, what is seen changes; elements of the image emerge or dissolve again. This creates a state of constant oscillation between appearance and disappearance. Beide Werke, die 2015 entstanden sind und vom 28. Mai bis zum 12. Juni 2026 im Rahmen der Ausstellung „Castelmoron d Àlbert“ in der Galerie Bernd Kugler in Innsbruck zu sehen sind, setzen sich mit der Unbeständigkeit der Wahrnehmung und der Zerbrechlichkeit des Sichtbaren auseinander. Je nach Standpunkt im Raum verändert sich das Gesehene; Bildelemente tauchen auf oder lösen sich wieder auf. So entsteht ein ständiger Wechsel zwischen Erscheinen und Verschwinden.

_____Breath becomes movement, movement becomes line. Flesh-toned hues evoke intimacy, vulnerability and presence. Between gesture and rhythm, a space unfolds in which breath, body and colour are interwoven. Der Atem wird zur Bewegung, die Bewegung zur Linie. Hautfarbene Töne wecken ein Gefühl von Intimität, Verletzlichkeit und Präsenz. Zwischen Geste und Rhythmus entfaltet sich ein Raum, in dem Atem, Körper und Farbe miteinander verwoben sind.

_____The starting point is a wall – a section of the room that is translated into the picture through the act of painting lines. These are quiet, almost imperceptible moments that contribute to the composition of the picture. After the painting process, the fabric is stretched onto the stretcher frame and varnished. In this way, the stretcher frame and the varnish also become part of the picture. The work is understood as a condensation of space, material and time – as a subtle trace of what was present during the process. Ausgangspunkt ist eine Wand – ein Ausschnitt des Raumes, der sich über das Malen von Linien in das Bild überträgt. Es sind stille, beinahe unmerkliche Momente, die zur Bildfindung beitragen. Nach dem Malprozess wird der Stoff auf den Keilrahmen gespannt und lackiert. So schreiben sich auch Keilrahmen und Lack in das Bild ein. Die Arbeit versteht sich als Verdichtung von Raum, Material und Zeit – als leise Spur dessen, was im Prozess anwesend war.

_____The fabric is installed in the space and painted on site. A painterly structure emerges in relation to the architecture, light and movement. Creases, imprints and gestures remain visible, bearing the traces of their creation. Between material, space and time, the image coalesces into an open form of presence. Der Stoff wird im Raum installiert und vor Ort bemalt. In Beziehung zu Architektur, Licht und Bewegung entsteht eine malerische Struktur. Falten, Abdrücke und Gesten bleiben sichtbar und tragen die Spuren ihrer Entstehung. Zwischen Material, Raum und Zeit verdichtet sich das Bild zu einer offenen Form von Präsenz.

Endres x Brutal / Brutal x Endres

_____Painting transitions into drawing, the brushstroke detaches itself from the picture plane and becomes a line. This line is transferred onto the body. In tattooing, drawing takes place as a performative act: temporary, irreversible, bound to the present. Image, action, and trace coincide. Die Malerei geht in die Zeichnung über, der Pinselstrich löst sich von der Bildfläche und wird zur Linie. Diese Linie wird auf den Körper übertragen. Beim Tätowieren findet das Zeichnen als performativer Akt statt: vorübergehend, irreversibel, an die Gegenwart gebunden. Bild, Handlung und Spur fallen zusammen.
